All LRROF positions are volunteer based (non paid) roles. Volunteers make a donation of their time and expertise to the organization, so that our intake monies are used for services provided for the care of the dogs in the program.

Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida Inc. (LRROF) needs foster homes for our rescued Labs. The number of available foster homes limits the number of dogs that we can rescue. Labs may have to be placed on a waiting list until a foster home is available. Unfortunately, some dogs have a limited amount of time before a shelter or animal control will have to put them down. Clearly, foster homes play one of the most significant roles in LRROF's rescue efforts.

An LRROF volunteer will contact you to arrange a home visit. You will then be notified if you are approved for fostering. Please do not offer to foster for us if you just want to use it as a way of choosing a dog to adopt. Fostering is very rewarding, but it is also requires hard work and dedication.

We do not view our foster homes as potential adopters. If you want to adopt a Lab, please fill out the adoption application instead of the fostering application. What we need most in a foster home is someone who is truly dedicated to helping us save the lives of homeless Labrador Retrievers.

Apply to volunteer today - we look forward to having you as a valuable member of our volunteer force!
