Elvis~
"Thought you would like an update on Elvis. He likes to play with anything that
makes noise, he has taking a real liking to water jugs or two liter bottles. His
allergies are doing well - he is allergic to corn and dairy products. His ear is
finally cleared up and he is enjoying swimming in my mom's pool and playing with
the neighbors deaf dog Indy.(Australian Shepherd) She is only 6 months old and
Elvis hangs with her pretty good. They have a lot of energy. He barks when
someone comes on the porch and will let you know if someone is in the yard, very
alert. Makes me feel better when I am alone especially since I do not hear well
at all. He is really such a joy to have around and I thank you again for the
wonderful work you have done on him he is a character."

Mo~
We are beginning to call Moses Mo because he is such a wonderful klutz.
He has bumped his head on my desk three times and he never, ever walks around something when he can walk ON it. He is absolutely wonderful and we adore him already.
My sister brought him from Port St. Lucie yesterday and she got so attached in 24 hours that she had tears in her eyes as she left this morning.
We have company here (from Canada) and Mo LOVES the kids. Because all of our guest rooms were full my sister brought her own cot and we set her up in my husband's study.
We made a bed for Mo on the floor next to her and he was quiet and well behaved all night long.

Lady~
Hi, my name is Lady. I was adopted back in November.
My foster mom Sandra really helped me find the
perfect home. Thank you Sandra. Also Dr. Pat helped in
this adoption. I am a beautiful Black female lab 6
years young. My mom and dad Dan and Cindy could not be
happier with me. My first and only mom and dad had to
give me up for they were moving to a 55 and older
community that only allows small pets. Not faie huh.
Anyway my new mom and dad call them often to tell them
how much I am loved. I have a new little guy 2 years
old to play with . His name is Bryce and I guess he is
a human thing called a grandson. I love him and play
gentle with him. My mom and dad had a time finding the
lab for them and then I came along. There is someone
in lab rescue who was so wonderful and it was Cheryl.
She was put on this earth to save these labs. Thank
you Cheryl. The funny thing is my mom and dad foster
dogs here in South Florida now. They want to give back
to lab rescue because of me and all the help they got
finding me. I will send pictures when my mom figures
out how to put them on the computer haha. Anyway I am
in my forever home now and I thank all of the
wonderful people who adopt our labs and provide the
homes no matter what!
Sincerly, Dan and Cindy Borkowski.
PS I forgot to tell you that my dad was in the car for
over 10 hours picking me up, Good thing I am a good
girl huh? |

Shelby~
Hi everyone. We wanted to let everybody know that Shelby has been with us almost 2 months and we absolutely love this dog.
She is perfect in almost everyway. She responds very well to voice commands.
She gets to go to work with us everyday to greet customers. We live close to a park so she gets to go play ball and have a nice walk almost everyday.
We can't find anything wrong with her. She's healthy and very happy. Thanks for allowing us to make Shelby part of our family.
Here she is with Doug one of her owners at the PARK!!

Coco~
Here are some pics of Coco in her new home. She is very happy with us and we feel the same about her. She gets on well with everyone in the family from the oldest to the youngest and, as we had hoped, is a great companion to my Mom when I am at work.
Her favorite game is still frisbee and it keeps her a very young 10 year old. She and Riley enjoy a companionable relationship and occasionally have a rambunctious frisbee competition. Coco always wins!
Thanks to the Jennifer and her family for helping with Coco's transition to her forever home. And thanks to Lab Rescue for your hard work.

Stitch~
Hi everyone! I am writing to you from the wonderful world of Land O Lakes and let me tell you it is truly wonderful. First and foremost I want to thank everyone at LRoF for all their help and encouragement as I underwent a very scary time in my life, losing my back leg. Shane, my forster dad, was a God send and I give him all the credit for the lovable, well adjusted and happy dog that I am today. My new mom and dad sure do love me too. They tell me that from the moment they saw my picture they knew I was theirs forever. And since I have been at my new home I have settled in quite nicely. I have a pretty cool older sister, though since I dont know my age she may not be all that much older than me (they think I am 10 mo old). Her and I play a lot and I love sharing my toys with her. Last weekend I went for a swim at the dog beach and I LOVED it! Cant wait to go back for more. And it seems that in the water my sister isnt all that much faster than me, so I beat her to the toys sometimes. Everyone is really amazed at how well I can get around with only 3 legs but I dont see what the big deal is. And to top it all off, I get to sleep in the giant bed with my mom, dad and sister at the end of the day. What a life! Well I gotta run, I hear cooking going on and I am sure some will come my way.

Jake~
My name was Darryl when my parents adopted me but they have changed it to
Jake. I like it. It fits me.
My parents, Mark and Sharon, were amazed that when we left Pat's house that
I rode in the car with them for 2 hours without a fuss. They said I was
such a good boy and rode very well. When I got to their house I was pretty
uncomfortable and scared. Mom took me out in the backyard and walked me
around. It's a great place for me, they have squirrels and cats to point
at. Mom says that I am beautiful when I point and I like to show off.
I am settling in and love my morning and afternoon walks. See they have a
park across the street that I am claiming as my own.
Mom told me that when I am well that she has some special places to take me.
She told me that she is a Trails Planner and I will be the first dog to
walk through some of the preserve areas that are being developed in our
county. I don't understand it but it sounds fun to me.
I will let you know about my progress as I recover and get back on my paws.
Jake Tarman
with the help of Mark and Sharon Tarman

Jake~
Hello everyone!! Just wanted you all to know what a GREAT furever home I have. I live in the country with my two kitty brothers but that's okay. They take me for lots of walks and for car rides. We go to visit her mother and she has a POOL. I just love, love love to go swimming.( I really like going to see the pool.....I mean her mother.)
They give me special food and treats for my allergies. I especially like the treats that she makes for me. They are so yummy! I have a basket of toys and collars of every color. I even have one with my name sewn on it. I have really found a GREAT furever home, they just love me so much. I am so happy here I sleep like a baby. Thanks to everyone at LRRoF especially to Sooz and Dean for taking care of me till I found my home!

Shadow~
Life is good and I’m enjoying every moment of it!
I finally made it to the home where I’ve always been meant to belong and Ralph and Kathleen and Jeremy, Matthew, James and Kyle couldn’t agree more.
They are amazed at how gentle and well behaved I am, but hey, I know a good thing when I’ve got it! With a whole big family there’s always someone who needs to be kept company.
But if even one person is missing, I know it and am sure to greet them at the door when they come home. We are having lots of fun playing and practicing my tricks, but really I can’t wait until school lets out for the summer. That’s because I’ll be totally done with my heartworm treatment and we can start getting some real action!
I’m such a smart guy, I learned my new name in one day okay, the treats helped!
They called me Shadow because, well I’m dark that’s for sure, but I also stick close and don’t run off. But Kathleen says
I could have been called Thumper because my tail is always hitting the floor from wagging it so much…and also the bed footboard. I sleep on a pillow on the floor at the end of the bed and when the alarm clock goes off in the morning I get so excited to start a new day I can’t help but wag my tail!!! What’s a snooze alarm anyway? They say that’s something I need to learn about. Well bye for now and thanks Lab Rescue for helping
me find my home!

Dreamin/Rowdy~
Dreamin is a great girl! She was given a big welcome from my other labbies
when she arrived home last Saturday and easily joined in with everyone. Rowdy, our other adopted lab,
is doing well...he is just a
wonderful great big boy. He enjoys his
evening walks and swims (not the best swimmer, but he gives it his all) and
he traveled with us to Tennessee last Thanksgiving. Rowdy is such a happy
and gentle lab...we just love him!
I have sent some pictures of Rowdy, Kirra and Dreamin...enjoy.
Take care,
Marlene
